The Gary Matthews Jr. Situation

So, GMJ is complaining about getting more playing time...  Well, how can anyone blame him.  He is a professional athlete; that means he busted his but for free and next to free because he loves the game and he loves to compete.  Who cares how much money he's making, he is a good outfielder, he just happens to be on a team with a BUNCH of good outfielders.  He's not old at 34, and he could be a great influence in the clubhouse, however, what I'm upset about, is that he's bitching and moaning in public and throwing down ultimatiums.  Torii Hunter does come to his defense, but, I'm sure he's not happy with the moaning either.

No CC Sabathia in LA

Well, in what might be GREAT news for the Halos, CC Sabathia will sign with the Yankees; so says the New York Post.  Now they should be able to sign Tex, however, he is now leaning towards the BoSox....  We'll just have to see if the Halos get shut out of all of the top free agent signings.  The best pitcher now on the market is definitely Peavy, however, it looks like he'll go to the Cubs.
